In his exploration of Jesus’ teaching and travels with his disciples, Tom Berlin suggests in his book
Reckless Love, that Jesus teaches us how to love God with heart, soul, mind, and strength by showing us how to love our neighbor. While many hope to learn to be better family, friends, leaders, and neighbors by finding a deeper relationship with God, what if becoming a better neighbor leads you to that deeper love of God?
In Session 5, Tom speaks with Mohammad Nabieu who lives in Sierra Leone, Africa, and who lived through the Sierra Leone civil war and who now works with a child rescue center. They speak on God’s love for all and how this can help us to learn to love those among us who are most vulnerable. The discus how to move beyond appearances and judgment and how to move into compassion.
