This Advent and Christmas unit helps children get ready for Christmas. Through the stories of Joseph and Mary and the birth of the Christ Child, students learn that extraordinary things happen to ordinary people when they are obedient to God's will. In the Craft Corner, the children construct a Story Wreath by adding new figures to a brown-paper wreath each week. The Mission Activity helps children realize that often gifts of time and presence are much more valuable than more expensive store-bought gifts.
